Gold Coast Radio Yacht Club Inc.
Lake Laguna, Palm Beach - Queensland, Australia

Welcome to our piece of sailing paradise on Lake Laguna!

Radio Controlled sailing is a completive, yet enjoyable, sport/hobby for all ages.

We are now currently sailing the IOM Class being the most popular class these days.

The International 10 Rater and RM (Marblehead) class of boats CAN be sailed here (as before), however some notice a day or two is now required to organize a day's multi-class event!

If you are interested in becoming involved in radio sailing, our members will be very happy to answer any questions or point you in the right direction for information.

Our "Links" page (above) is a good start.

Sailing a radio-controlled yacht is NOT difficult at all.

Basically, there are only 2 controls, 1) for the sails and 2) for the rudder.

Sailing well, observing the rules, can be the hard part at times - but not difficult to do at all!

An overview of the Club

Our Club sails throughout the year on Wednesdays and Saturdays from around 1000hrs (all sailing times quoted are "Queensland Times").

The only exception to these sailing times are Xmas and New Year's day should they fall on our regular sailing days.

Our Members will be very pleased to meet, greet and assist you as we are very keen to introduce new people to the sport.

We have recently re-introduced our dedicated "handicap" racing to be held on the 1st Wednesday of each month giving everybody a chance to be a winner on the day!
